WELCOME
Our club was founded in 1980 for the purpose of gathering together those interested in growing African violets and their Gesneriad relatives in the South Florida area. Since then, many members have participated in trading plants and leaves, learning from programs on cultivation, putting on shows, and generally enjoying the company of those who are enchanted by the many varieties of our favorite plant.

Our society is an affiliate of the African Violet Society of America, and our shows are run according to the rules of judging established by our national society. New members are always welcome in the Violet Patch, and are encouraged to participate in our activities. Dues are $10 per year for an individual, and $14 per year for a family membership. Members receive the monthly newsletter and usually receive at least one free plant each year.
